what a fabulous wedding! Megan and Dave traveled to Des Moines from Chicago for their beautiful wedding at St. Ambrose. Megan’s dress was amazing. I loved it, it was very unique compared to anything I have seen in awhile. I loved the bottom and her perfect little body was stunning in it. Dave is adorable. He is so kind and is head over heels for megan. They let me drop the wedding party off at the Locust Tap in the East Village so i could take the two of them for some shots in a raw environment that i thought was the perfect opposite to her dress. After the Tap and a stop at the park we headed to the Temple Of Performing Arts for her reception. I love so many of their photos, I just hope you all do too!

Finley might be one of my favorite kids to photograph. She is so beautiful and has a wonderful air about her. She just turned three in march but there is something going on behind those eyes. Her little brother, Oliver, is just as adorable. He is Ryan’s other boyfriend. I know, one day i’ll tell her she  has to pick. Until then, she’s just having some fun.This was actually quite the day at the park. As soon as we arrived mom stepped on a bee, her toes swelled up like crazy, a kid falls off a bike, and nearly finds himself in the pond and the bugs are just awful. We had to shoot fast and call it short but we still walked away with some amazing photos. How could you not, look at these two!

anderson is 7 months old…in these photos anyway. I am WAY behind on blogging so I am trying to catch up as much as I can. I had to give some love to this little man. This is Anderson (aka: ryans boyfriend) and all his happy glory. Im so glad we took a few minutes to capture this moment of his life.

laura and john had a stunning day for a wedding. It all started out at lauras house for some getting ready photos then off to the always beautiful, St. Ambrose in Des Moines. After the ceremony we headed off to Stonehaven (my favorite place for a wedding in the state of Iowa. Could have something to do with the fact it is where i got married at too). Surrounded by friends, John gave a funny speech, making mention that his day started out wonderfully with some Casey’s pizza, a walk and then his wedding ending it with a toast to his beautiful bride. She really is quite lovely.  After a mini photo session by the main lodge we all had to take 5 minutes to watch Paddy O Prada run her race then took off towards the party barn for the real fun. Laura was full of smiles all day and the night was perfect. Thank you for letting me take part in your day. I hope these images bring a smile to your face and fun memories to mind. enjoy.
