i was fortunate to be able to take part in an amazing program this year. Flashes of Hope. Flashes of Hope is an amazing organization that strives to create beautiful portraits for kids that are fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
I spent one day at Y-camp in Boone, where I photographed over 35 amazing, beautiful, funny and inspiring kids. Some of the kids have been going to camp for 13 years and are coming back to be counselors either next year or in the future. This week at camp is an filled with friends, fun, swimming, horses, art, music, laughter and good old fashioned kid stuff. This is such an amazing place and you can tell the kids all love it. I met some of the most beautiful kids during that day who strength and courage left a deep impression on my heart and will forever inspire me.
I can only hope to continue to photograph for this organization. Below you will find a sample of some of the images from that day, i hope you enjoy looking at them as much as i enjoyed taking them.
